In the project of Bartın University (BARU), deemed worthy of funding by TUBITAK, the effects of food additives, becoming more and more popular, on the digestive system will be investigated.

Scientific studies carried out by Bartın University (BARU) with a mindset “Producing University” continue to be supported. In this regard, from the Department of Biotechnology at BARU Faculty of Science, Dr. Hilal Yılmaz's project named "Interaction of Caffeine, Vanillin and Gallic Acid Molecules with Mucin in Salivary Protein and Beta-Lactoglobulin in Milk Protein" was accepted for funding by TUBITAK. The interaction of the components that add flavor and functional properties to frequently consumed foods with the mucus layer throughout the digestive system will be examined in the project within the scope of the 1002-Short Term R&D Funding Program.
