BARU Establishes TEKNOFEST Coordination Office

Bartın University (BARU) has established a TEKNOFEST Coordination Office to ensure more effective and organized participation in TEKNOFEST, Türkiye’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival.
The office was founded to support students’ participation in technology competitions, coordinate mentorship processes, and provide guidance throughout all stages—from competition applications to project presentations. An initial consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of BARU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Ersin Alaybeyoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Bilal Kurşuncu from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, Research Assistant Şuheda Kaltakkıran, and Asst. Prof. Şeyma Çağlar Özhan from the Faculty of Science.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Coordination Office will carry out initiatives to contribute to Türkiye’s National Technology Movement, while providing interdisciplinary support to students developing projects in diverse fields such as engineering, science, health, education, and social sciences.
