BARÜ contributes to the professional development of academicians with the “Training of Trainers” program

The “Training of Trainers” program, organized at Bartın University (BARÜ) with the aim of developing the learning and teaching competencies of academicians, was completed with intense participation.
The “Training of Trainers” program, which supports the professional competencies of the teaching staff, was organized at Bartın University (BARÜ) by the Learning and Teaching Development Coordination Office in cooperation with the Distance Education Application and Research Center. In the program, which featured innovative content regarding education and training activities, teaching staff from BARÜ and different universities shared their knowledge for five days.
Delivering the opening speech of the training program, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya emphasized the importance of the academic development of trainers who teach with a student-oriented approach and wished the program to be productive for the participants.
In the following sessions of the program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çelik from Gazi University provided information on “Prompt Engineering: From Beginner to Advanced,” and Asst. Prof. Dr. Meriç Tuncel from Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University spoke on “Writing Program and Learning Outcomes.”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Harun Serpil from Anadolu University gave a presentation on “Strategies for Increasing Student Motivation,” teacher Pınar Sayar from the Ministry of National Education on “Basic Design Skills in Canva for Academicians,” and Lect. Nilgün İncereis from BARÜ on “Transition to ÜBYS: Adaptation to New Processes in Distance Education.”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Görkem Ceyhan from Muş Alparslan University shared detailed information about “Preparing Performance Tasks and Rubrics,” Prof. Dr. Ali Ünal from Necmettin Erbakan University on “Rational Thinking and Avoiding Fallacies in Teaching and Evaluation,” and Lect. Nilgün İncereis from BARÜ on “Effective Use of Microsoft Teams in Distance Education.”
The program continued with trainings given by Prof. Dr. Burcu Duman from BARÜ on “Effective Teaching in Higher Education: Methods and Techniques for Academicians” and Asst. Prof. Dr. Seçil Eda Özkayran on “Being the Architect of Transformation in Academia: Change Management and Mentoring.”
The training program concluded with Prof. Dr. Hatice Yıldız Durak from Necmettin Erbakan University conveying approaches on “Artificial Intelligence Tool Applications in Education” and Asst. Prof. Dr. İhsan Çağatay Ulus from BARÜ on the “Psychology of Adult Learning.”
