BARÜ Continues to Host International Academics

Prof. Dr. David Scheschkewitz and Prof. Dr. Dominik Munz from Saarland University (Germany), who visited Bartın University (BARÜ), delivered a scientific seminar.

Within the scope of a project conducted in collaboration between the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and the German Research Foundation (DFG), led by Prof. Dr. Cem Burak Yıldız from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design at BARÜ, Prof. Dr. David Scheschkewitz and Prof. Dr. Dominik Munz from Saarland University paid a visit to BARÜ.

Visiting BARÜ for the annual meeting of the project, which aims to convert small molecules into various raw materials in an environmentally friendly manner, Prof. Dr. Scheschkewitz and Prof. Dr. Munz first met with Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selçuk Gümüş.

During the meeting with the project team, Rector Akkaya wished Prof. Dr. Yıldız and the entire team success in their work and emphasized his support for environmentally friendly scientific research.

Following their visit, Prof. Dr. Scheschkewitz and Prof. Dr. Munz delivered scientific presentations as part of the Central Research Laboratory Talks program.

Prof. Dr. Scheschkewitz presented on “Silicon Derivatives of Hückel Aromatics,” while Prof. Dr. Munz spoke on “Metal Nitrenes, Phosphinidenes, and Carbenes.”

The well-attended seminar concluded with a Q&A session.
