BARÜ Continues Its Rise in YKS Placements

According to the 2026 YKS placement results, Bartın University (BARÜ) strengthened its position among prospective students’ university preferences with its continued rise in admission rankings.
Bartın University (BARÜ), with its commitment to high-quality education and student-centered approach, continues to rank among the universities preferred by students who achieve outstanding results in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). In this regard, data from the 2026 YKS Central Placement Results showed a significant improvement in the achievement rankings of students who chose BARÜ.
Interest in BARÜ Grows Among High-Achieving Students
According to the 2026 YKS placement results, 12 students ranked among the top 5,000, 34 among the top 10,000, 87 among the top 20,000, and 174 among the top 50,000 earned the right to enroll at BARÜ. In 2025, BARÜ had been chosen by 1 student ranked among the top 5,000, 31 among the top 10,000, 66 among the top 20,000, and 155 among the top 50,000.
With an overall occupancy rate of 99.63 percent in its general quotas, BARÜ once again demonstrated its growing appeal among prospective students, as reflected in the increase in the number of students admitted from different achievement brackets.

Noting that the data obtained from the 2026 YKS results are significant in demonstrating BARÜ’s quality-oriented development, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya said:
“The increase in the number of our students ranked among the top 5,000, top 10,000, top 20,000, and top 50,000 shows that the trust and interest in our University are continuing to grow. Our goal is to provide an educational environment where the students joining us can develop themselves, conduct research, produce knowledge, and graduate as highly qualified individuals.
