BARÜ Achieves Patent Success: Ranked Third in Türkiye in the “Finance” Field

Bartın University (BARÜ) ranked among the top institutions in the 2025 patent performance evaluation, securing a place in the top three in Türkiye in the field of finance.
The “Türkiye Patent Report 2025,” prepared by Patent Effect with the aim of enhancing the country’s innovation and R&D performance, has been published. Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved a significant milestone by being listed among the “Patent Champion Universities.” In the report, which evaluates universities across various categories, BARÜ stood out with its patent applications in the field of finance, placing it among the leading institutions in Türkiye.
The report also announced the top 10 universities with the highest number of patent applications in different fields. In 2025, BARÜ ranked third among both public and foundation universities in terms of patent applications in the finance field. BARÜ shared this third-place position with Istanbul Technical University, Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul Medipol University, and İzmir University of Economics.
Emphasizing the importance of transforming scientific research into added value, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated: “As Bartın University, we continue our efforts with the goal of transforming knowledge into value. In order to further advance the success, we have achieved in patent applications, we will continue to produce high-quality projects and integrate them into patent processes.
