Webometrics Ranking of Universities announced 2020 results and Bartın University left 3 thousand 879 universities behind in 3 years.

2020 results of Webometrics Ranking of Universities, which ranks universities based on presence, visibility, transparency and excellence indicators, has been announced in July. Bartın University has been attracting more and more public attention with the works carried out and now, in 2020 Webometrics results showed that the university has stepped up 3 thousand 879 steps since 2017. Bartın University ranked 7.037 in 2017 and today, in 2020, the university ranked 3.158 in overall world ranking with an increase of 3.879 steps.

In addition to our success in Webometrics, for the first time since 2009, our university has been ranked among SCImago Institutions Ranking (SIR). SIR ranks acadenşc and research-related institutions based on three sets of indicators which are research, innovation and societal impact.

Together with 12 universities from different countries including the USA, Russia and Czechia, Bartın University ranked the 800th university among 33897 universities ranked.

On the other hand, our university keeps rising in the public university ranking made by an independent news portal in Turkey using the number of publications in reputable journals. The publications are listed through “Web of Science”. In the ranking, Bartın University ranked the 69th among 107 public universities in 2017; 44th among 107 public universities in 2018 and 24th among 108 public universities in 2019 based on the number of publications per academic.
