16 Şubat 2026
Bartın University (BARÜ) is supporting efforts aimed at the social reintegration of individuals under probation within the framework of its cooperation with the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Through this collaboration, BARÜ contributes to initiatives designed to help individuals under probation measures reintegrate into society. As part of the program, Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor Ahmet Rüfai Şahin and Bartın Probation Director İsa Küçük paid a visit to the university. During the visit, on-site inspections were conducted of the activities carried out at BARÜ by individuals assigned under public service obligations within the scope of probation measures, coordinated by the Bartın Probation Directorate.

Under the “Cooperation Protocol in the Field of Probation Services,” individuals assigned to public service duties perform maintenance, repair, painting, and landscaping work in both indoor and outdoor areas of the university campus. These activities aim to provide tangible contributions in multiple areas, ranging from the development of vocational skills to facilitating social adaptation.

Highlighting the importance of supporting individuals under probation in their reintegration into society, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the university will continue to support initiatives designed to equip individuals with vocational skills and promote their social inclusion, and he thanked everyone
involved in the process.
