Bartın University Continues to Inspire: Climbs 487 Positions in URAP Rankings Over Five Years

Bartın University (BARÜ) has demonstrated a significant advancement in the global rankings released by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) Research Laboratory, showing an impressive rise of 487 positions over five years since its initial inclusion in the 2020–2021 ranking period.

The URAP Research Laboratory, operating under the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University (METU), has published the 2024–2025 World University Rankings.

According to the latest data, BARÜ has advanced by 254 positions compared to the previous year, reaching the 1,997th rank globally. Having entered the rankings at 2,484th place in the 2020–2021 period, the university rose by 57 places in 2021–2022, by 147 in 2022–2023, and by 29 in 2023–2024, culminating in a total improvement of 487 ranks over five years.

In the newly released URAP rankings, BARÜ secured the 55th position among Turkish universities, surpassing 71 other institutions from Turkey. Additionally, the university ranked 67th in the “Article Score” category, 56th in “Citation Score,” and climbed 26 places to 40th in “Total Publication Impact.” In the “Total Document Score” category, BARÜ was ranked 86th. Notably, in the “Total Citation Impact” indicator, BARÜ made a significant leap of 47 places to reach 35th place, and ranked 67th in the “International Collaboration” category.
