Bartın University (BARÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya commemorated the 103rd anniversary of Victory Day on August 30 with a message.
Stating that the August 30 Victory marks a turning point at which the Turkish nation declared its determination for independence to the entire world, Rector Akkaya included the following remarks in his message:
“The August 30 Victory is a great triumph achieved through the unity, solidarity, determination, and perseverance of our nation, whose history is full of remarkable achievements. We celebrate with the same pride and enthusiasm the 103rd anniversary of this great victory, which the Turkish nation proclaimed to the world on August 30, 1922. With these thoughts and feelings, I sincerely congratulate the Victory Day of August 30 and respectfully commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and all our martyrs and veterans with gratitude and mercy.”
