Bartın University (BARU) continues to fortify its global outreach, achieving a significant milestone in its internationalization objectives by extending its cooperation network from South America to Far East Asia through its successful acceptance of the Erasmus+ KA171 Project.

The Erasmus+ KA171 Program, designed to facilitate student and staff mobility beyond the European Union, recently announced the acceptance of various projects. BARU, in pursuit of its internationalization strategy and already fostering collaborations with 80 universities across 26 countries, has propelled its global engagement further with the approval of its project within the Erasmus+ KA171 Program.

Having initially established Erasmus ICM partnerships with six countries and securing a grant totaling 75,000 Euros in 2022, BARU has remarkably increased both the number of collaborating countries to 11 and the financial support to 88,730 Euros in 2023. This expansion marks BARU's commitment to enhancing educational experiences by forging partnerships with higher education institutions in Malaysia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Palestine, Chile, Kenya, and South Africa under the Erasmus+ KA171 Program.

This strategic move solidifies BARU's dedication to fostering global educational alliances and nurturing cross-cultural exchanges, contributing significantly to its overarching goal of comprehensive internationalization.
