Bartın Marks the 10th Anniversary of July 15 with the Message “The Will Is Ours, the Victory Is Ours”

At the commemorative events held in Bartın on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the national will was once again emphasized under the slogan “The Will Is Ours, the Victory Is Ours.”
A series of commemorative events was held in Bartın under the theme “The Will Is Ours, The Victory Is Ours” to mark the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Bartın Governor Dr. Nurtaç Arslan, Bartın University (BARÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, members of the provincial protocol and a large number of citizens attended the events, which highlighted the determination to uphold democracy and the national will.
Martyrs commemorated with prayers
The commemorative program began with a visit to the Central Martyrs’ Cemetery. Carnations were laid on the graves of the martyrs, while verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited and prayers were offered. Participants also visited the grave of Mustafa Yaman, prayer leader and preacher of the Martyrs’ Mosque, who was martyred in the attack targeting the Special Operations Department in the Gölbaşı district of Ankara during the treacherous coup attempt. As part of the commemorative events, participants visited the “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Photography Exhibition” opened on Hükümet Street. They also visited the “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day National Will Tent” set up in the courtyard of the Bartın Governorship.
Thousands joined the Democracy and National Unity March
In the evening, the “July 15 Democracy and National Unity March,” which began in front of the Bartın Governorship, concluded at Cumhuriyet Square. Carrying Turkish flags, citizens joined the march with the same enthusiasm on the 10th anniversary of the coup attempt, conveying a strong message of unity and solidarity.
Following the completion of the July 15 Martyrs’ Flag Relay at Cumhuriyet Square, verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited, and prayers were offered. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s address to the nation was also broadcast on a giant screen set up in the square.
The commemorative events concluded with the recitation of the sela from all mosques at 12:13 a.m., followed by a democracy vigil.
