As a BARÜ's student, National wrestler Burhan Akbudak became the world champion

Burhan Akbudak who is a student of the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Bartın University (BARÜ), won the gold medal in the 82-kilogram category of Greco-roman style in the World Wrestling Championship.

Burhan Akbudak who is a student of the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Bartın University (BARÜ), grabbed a slice of history in the championship that was taken place in Belgrad, the capital of Serbia.

Burhan Akbudak who is the national wrestler 82-kilogram category of Greco-roman style and took on Jalgasbay Berdimuratov from Uzbekistan won the gold medal with a score of 7-6 although he was defeating in 6-2 in beginning. Burhan Akbudak took a championship tour with the Turkish flag on the mat after the match, where he won the first senior world championship in his career.

Burhan Akbudak who is a student of BARÜ, won the silver medal in the 82-kilogram category in the World Wrestling Championship, which was organized in Oslo, capital of Norway, in October last year.
