On the occasion of the beginning of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, Bartın University (BARÜ) welcomed its students coming to Bartın from all over Turkey at the bus terminal.
With the start of the new academic year, Bartın University (BARÜ) welcomed students and their families arriving in the city at the Bartın Intercity Bus Terminal and the Kutlubey Campus. Starting from the early hours of the morning, stands were set up at the terminal as part of the welcoming program prepared under the coordination of the BARÜ Department of Student Affairs, the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, and the Student Council Presidency.
In the program attended by BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunay Akkaya, students were welcomed with flowers and various refreshments were offered. Staff on duty provided information about the university and the city and answered questions. Additionally, the transportation of students to their dormitories was provided by the university's shuttle vehicles.
Chatting with the students and families arriving at the terminal, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated, “As Bartın University, we work with dedication to ensure that our youth receive their education in a peaceful environment. It is important for us that our students, especially those coming from out of town, feel at home and get used to our city. Today, we wanted to say ‘Welcome’ to them once again. Together with approximately 3,000 new students who joined us this year, we will continue to work and produce. I wish the new education and training period to be productive, healthy, and successful for everyone.”
Students and their families expressed their satisfaction with the close attention shown during the welcoming program and offered their thanks.
