A meaningful medal from the Turkish Red Crescent to BARÜ

Bartın University (BARÜ) was awarded a “Silver Medal” by the Turkish Red Crescent for its dedicated efforts toward regular blood donation.
The work carried out by Bartın University (BARÜ) regarding blood donation with a sense of social responsibility has been crowned with a meaningful award. As a result of the blood donation support it provided to the Turkish Red Crescent as an institution, BARÜ became the recipient of the “Institutional Blood Donor Silver Medal” and the “Silver Medal Plaque.”
The Director of the Turkish Red Crescent Western Black Sea Regional Blood Center, Dr. Hasan Ergen, and Blood Donor Recruitment Specialists Dinçer Karagöz and Dilay Kablan visited BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya to present the medal.
Drawing attention to the importance of blood donations made by the academic and administrative human resources as well as the students, Rector Prof. Dr. Akkaya said, “As Bartın University, we carry out studies regarding blood donation, which is an important indicator of social solidarity. I would like to thank our students, staff, and everyone who contributed to touching lives by participating in the blood donation campaigns we organize on our campuses. I also extend my gratitude to the Turkish Red Crescent for this meaningful medal they have deemed us worthy of.”
