A Cooperation Protocol Was Signed Between BARÜ and the Association for the Education and Life of Individuals with Autism and Special Needs

Bartın University (BARÜ) signed a cooperation protocol with the Association for the Education and Life of Individuals with Autism and Special Needs to support the education and social participation of individuals with special needs.
Bartın University (BARÜ), which supports the active participation of individuals with special needs in all areas of life, has added a new initiative to its ongoing efforts in this field. A cooperation protocol was signed between BARÜ and the Association for the Education and Life of Individuals with Autism and Special Needs. The protocol was signed by BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Berna Şengün, President of the Association for the Education and Life of Individuals with Autism and Special Needs.
Within the scope of the protocol, activities will be carried out to provide education and raise awareness among individuals with special needs and their families, while also strengthening their social participation. Under the coordination of the BARÜ Special Education Application and Research Center, scientific events, seminars, awareness-raising activities, family education programs, physical activity, and sports events will be organized. These activities aim to contribute to improving the quality of life of individuals with special needs and promoting an inclusive approach throughout society.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the protocol represents an important step toward contributing to the lives of individuals with special needs. He said, “As Bartın University, in addition to our educational and research activities, we consider social contribution to be among our fundamental priorities. I hope that this cooperation, which will support the more active participation of individuals with special needs in education and social life, will be beneficial for Bartın. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this initiative.”
