9 Projects were Awarded At The 7th International R&D Project Market Of BARÜ

The best 9 projects were awarded at the closing ceremony of the 7th International R&D Project Market held at Bartın University (BARÜ) with the participation of Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç.
The R&D Project Market, which Bartın University (BARÜ) carried to an international scale for the seventh time this year, was completed with the exhibition of projects by 47 universities, 30 high schools, 10 institutions and organizations from Turkey and abroad, and competitors from the R&D center.
Speaking first at the closing session of the most important science and technology festival of the region, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun said, “We will continue to add value to our future with the R&D Project Market that we have taken beyond national borders and reached a global level.”
TEI General Manager Prof. Dr. Akşit Talked About The Domestic Engine Industry
The closing presentation of the R&D Project Market was made by TUSAŞ Engine Industry (TEİ) General Manager Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit, who stands out with his works that add strength to the future of the Turkish engine industry.
In his presentation titled “The Importance of National Defense Industry and Aviation Technologies”, Prof. Dr. Akşit explained the transformation experienced by defense and aviation systems with their historical processes and conveyed the studies carried out within TEİ and the ongoing research and development activities.

Drawing attention to the project production culture established at the university, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç said, “Bartın University has been doing admirable work with the R&D Project Market it has been organizing for seven years. The 7th International R&D Project Market is not only a competition platform, but also an organization where bridges between different cultures are built, knowledge and experiences are shared, and future scientists come together. We see this event, which increases the scientific awareness of the society, as a very valuable step towards achieving the ideal of a ‘fully independent strong Turkey’ with all its features, and we appreciate its continuity like Teknofest.”

Then, at the BARÜ 7th International R&D Project Market Awards Ceremony, the best project owners were given their awards. The best project of the festival, which brought together Science and Technology enthusiasts, was awarded to Dr. Mustafa Şanverdi and his project team with the work called “METATIP”.
Hasan Can and Derya Ertaş shared the second place in the basic category with the project “Online Smart Special Education Ecosystem for Autism Spectrum Disorder”, which received the same score from the evaluation board, and the project “Photocatalytic Graphene Oxide Microneedles Inspired by Snake Teeth: A New Approach to Accelerating Wound Repair”. The third place award went to Muhammed Maraşlı with the project “Ultra Early Strength Concrete” and Juan Diego and his team with the project “Al-Driven Attack Simulations: Large Language Models in Breach and Attack Simulitations Platforms” presented by Rosario University, one of Colombia’s important higher education institutions.
In the High School category of the festival, the first place award was given to Yüşra Yatağan and her project team from Kağıthane Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School with the project titled “RETİLİFE” by the R&D Project Market referee committee. In the High School category, the second place award was given to Ezel Cansın Kanbur and her project team from Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kamil Tolon Science and Art Center with the project titled “Production and Characterization of Films from Carp Skin and Aloe Vera Gel as a Coating Product in Pharmaceuticals to Contribute to Circular Economy”. The third place award was given to Zeynep Ece Özaçmak and her project team from Zonguldak Mustafa Yılmaz Embedded System Technologies Application Center with the project titled “Electric Vehicle, Software and Hardware Development Simulator”.
The “International Cooperation Award” was given for the first time at the R&D Project Market
In the 7th R&D Project Market event organized internationally, the “International Cooperation Award” was given for the first time this year in the High School category by the decision of the Organizing Committee. The award was received by Aydar Ali Suiunaliev and his project team with the project titled “SMPAR Bishkek: Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Transportation with Parking Lots of the Future” from the Kyrgyzstan Maarif Education Foundation.
The 7th International R&D Project Market Award Ceremony, which was held with intense participation, ended with a commemorative photo of the best project teams.
