8 Academicians from Bartın University (BARÜ) are in the list of “The Most Effective Scientists in the World”

In the list of “The Most Effective Scientists in the World” organized by Stanford University every year 8 academicians were from Bartın University (BARÜ).

The list which shows the most effective scientists in the world was announced by Elsevier that is the publishing company of Holland-centered. In the list with two diverse categories like “An Effect Throughout the Career” and “Annual Effect” the international criterions -such as qualified publishes, the effects of magazines, the number of patents, the number of references, h-index, the number of articles, the number of references to articles and the effects of articles- were used.

Over 200 thousand scientists all over the world were evaluated in the list when the databases were considered a year ago. At Bartın University (BARÜ) 2 academicians in 2020, 6 academicians in 2021 and 8 academicians in 2022 achieved to be in this list.

Prof. Mehmet Zahmakıran, Prof. Murat Rakap, Ass. Prof. Ramazan Yılmaz and Ass. Prof. Parham Taslimi from the Faculty of Science; Prof. Osman Gençel, Ass. Prof. Abdullah Cahit Karaoğlanlı, Ass. Prof. Azmi Erdoğan and Dr. Shashanka Rajendrachari from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design were in this list.

According to the evaluation of “Annual Effect” by Elsevier, Ass. Dr. Parham Taslimi was on the 46th in the field of “Medical and Biomolecular Chemistry.” Prof. Osman Gençel was on the 117th in the field of “Construction and Building.” Prof. Mehmet Zahmakıran was on the 195th in the field of “Physical Chemistry.” Ass. Prof. Ramazan Yılmaz was 1360th in the field of “Education.” Prof. Murat Rakap was 3033rd in the field of “Energy.” Ass. Prof. Azmi Erdoğan was 4814th in the field of “Applied Physics.” Dr. Shashanka Rajendrachari was 5173rd in the field of “Material,” and in the same field Ass. Prof. Abdullah Cahit Karaoğlanlı was 5827th.

In the evaluation of “An Effect Throughout the Carrier,” Prof. Mehmet Zahmakıran was 249th in the field of “Physical Chemistry.” Prof. Osman Gençel was 275th in the field of “Construction and Building.” Ass. Prof. Parham Taslimi was 651st in the field of “Medical and Biomolecular Chemistry.” Prof. Murat Rakap was 3224th in the field of “Energy.”
