12 Top-5,000 YKS Ranked Students Choose BARÜ

According to the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) placement results, Bartın University (BARÜ) succeeded in being chosen by 12 students ranked in the top 5,000 nationwide.
Bartın University (BARÜ) continues to be the choice of high-achieving students with its quality-focused education approach and qualified academic staff. According to the 2026 YKS Central Placement Results announced by the Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM), top-ranking students across Türkiye opted for BARÜ. Consequently, 12 nationally ranked students qualified to become part of BARÜ.
BARÜ Becomes the Choice of High-Achieving Students
Among the top-ranking students, 10 chose the Department of Special Education Teaching in the Faculty of Education, 1 chose Preschool Teaching, and 1 enrolled in the Department of History in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. While only 1 student in the top 5,000 nationwide had chosen BARÜ in 2025, this figure rose to 12 in 2026.
Scholarship Support for Top-Ranking Students Choosing BARÜ
Students ranking in the top 5,000 who enrolled at BARÜ will also be eligible for an achievement scholarship, provided they meet the criteria set by Bartın University Development and Support Foundation. Under the scholarship program, students will receive 25,000 TRY per month for 9 months each academic year throughout their studies. The scholarship amount will be updated annually by the Board of Trustees of Bartın University Development and Support Foundation in line with economic conditions and the foundation's evaluations.

Congratulating the students who ranked in the top 5,000 nationwide and chose BARÜ, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated:
