Bartın University ranked the 1st among specializing universities in TÜBİTAK-1001 grant program
3 projects of our univeristy submitted within the scope of digitalization and regional development to TUBİTAK 1001- The Grant Program for Scientific and Technological Research have been accepted.
Bartın University, awarded to spealize in “Smart Logistics and Integrated Region Applications” within the scope of “Regional Development-oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project” by the Council of Higher Education, continues to contribute to the development of our country through new projects. The number of projects with a special focus on regional development are increasing. Following regular trainings and incentives offered, 3 new projects are accepted by TUBİTAK.
According to a research by a news wep page, our university with its 3 projects accepted ranked among the top universities in TUBİTAK 1001 grant support. Bartın University ranked the 1st among specializing universities and the 2nd among universities founded after 2000 in getting TUBİTAK 1001 grants in the relevant period.
The results of “1001- The Grant Program for Scientific and Technological Research” projects fort he first period of 2020 has been announced. Of 1964 submitted projects, 1740 were accepted for review and 213 were approved for grant support. Among the approved projects, three projects from our university were listed. These projects were: “A Study on Developing a Smart Tourism and Recreation Application for Bartın City within the Scope of Integrated Coast Planning and Management” by Prof. Dr. Bülent Cengiz; “Development of a Remote Based Algorithm for Monitoring the Ecological Conditions of Turkey’s Mountain Ecosystem, Land Use/ Land Cover Change and the Analysis of its Capacity to Adapt to Climate Change” by Associate Professor Ayhan Ateşoğlu; and “Development of a Suggestion System to Improve the Digital Parenting Competencies of the Parents” by Associate Prof. Hatice Yıldız Durak.
